Virginia Tech Alumni Association – Richmond Chapter
The Richmond Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is offering five $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors from the Richmond area enrolling at Virginia Tech in the fall of 2010. Selections will be based on academic achievement, essay responses, extracurricular involvement, community service, and financial need. Applicants must have accepted an official offer of admission to Virginia Tech and must reside within the geographic boundaries of the Richmond chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association. Applicants are highly suggested (but not required) to have a GPA of at least 3.5, a combined SAT score of at least 1200 or an ACT score of 28, and a SAR (Student Aid Report) which includes the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) based on a completed federal FAFSA form.
