The Virginia Association of Women Judges (VAWJ) Scholarship
Open to males or females. This scholarship is intended to increase awareness and appreciation of women’s roles in the legislature and judiciary. An essay in response to the question: What are the benfits of the participation of women in the legislative and judicial branches of government? Each participant must conduct a phone or personal interview with one female of the General Assembly of Virginia and one female judge who presides in a Circuit Court or a General District Court or a Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court of Virginia.
