Scholarships

GRASP scholarship recipients are selected based on both applications and GRASP advisor knowledge of student and family need. At least one student from each high school with a GRASP advisor will be awarded a $500 scholarship. Additional scholarships may range from $250 to $2,000. Last Dollar Scholarships are dependent upon generous donor support.

STUDENTS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY

o Met with the high school GRASP advisor during his or her senior year

o Possess at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average

o Will graduate from high school spring of 2011

o Demonstrate unmet financial need (A college financial aid award letter will be requested before the scholarship is granted.)

o Have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

This year for the first time, an electronic scholarship application is available. To submit your scholarship application electronically, go to www.grasp4virginia.com. Download the application from the homepage. This will allow you to complete the application as a fillable PDF form. Save the form, then either print it out and mail it via the post office with the rest of your packet OR email it to scholarships@grasp4virginia.com. If you choose to email your scholarship application, you will still need to mail part of it; all deadlines still apply and all parts must be received by the due date.

You may also print the application from the website, complete it by hand and mail it to the GRASP office. All parts must be received by the due date for your application to be considered.
